TKMEDIA Foundation and partners donate items worth gh¢25,000 to 65 widows
The TKMedia Foundation, in collaboration with its partners, has donated items worth 25,000 cedis to 65 needy widows in the Ashanti Region.
The foundation, led by OTEC FM’s journalist and member of Journalists in Social Protection (JISOP), Jacob Agyenim Boateng, provided the widows with essential items such as rice, clothes, oil, soap, detergents, and sardines, as well as transportation.
The donation drive was supported by major partners, including NAYAT Herbal Center, Ebenezer Assemblies of God, Dorcas Ministry at Bronx New,, Vesta Olis Limited, and dozens of benevolent individuals who contributed in cash and kind.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the donation, Wednesday, an Executive member of TKMedia Foundation, Elijah Donkor, a journalist with Opensuo FM, hailed all the donors for their kind support.
“The gesture has been impactful, as some needy widows who were struggling to get food for Christmas received items that brought smiles to their faces,” he noted.
Donkor pledged the Foundation’s commitment to supporting the needy in their own small way.
“We are committed to making a difference in the lives of the vulnerable, and we are grateful for the support of our partners and donors,” he added.
Some of the beneficiaries, who were visibly happy, thanked the foundation and its partners for the help.
They pledged to pray for every individual who contributed in any way to support the event, led by OTEC FM’s Journalist Jacob Agyenim Boateng, popularly known as Nana Kokooto in media circles.
The donation is a testament to the foundation’s dedication to supporting the needy and vulnerable in society, and its commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those it serves.
