The Director of Communications for Ashanti NPP, Paul Yandoh has expressed satisfaction that the party’s regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako always stand vindicated in all evil allegations that are levelled against him.
Speaking to this reporter, Mr Yandoh said many people within and outside the NPP have since becoming regional chairman sought to plot against the success of Mr Boasiako who is popularly known as “Wontumi”.
Narrating some of the ordeals and accusations many have laid on Chairman Wontumi, Mr Yandoh recalled how the regional Chairman was accused of seeking to rig the last regional chairmanship elections at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
However, he said a plot was rather hatched by his opponents to use, COP retired Kofi Boakye, the current security advisor to President Mahama to orchestrate a last minute intimidatory tactic to steal the mandate of the NPP delegates.
“Even though the opponents of Chairman Wontumi plotted his fall in the last regional elections he won convincingly despite the last minute intimidatory gimmick hatched with the knowledge of COP Kofi Boakye, the current security advisor to President Mahama”, the Director of Communications stated.
Pitching Asanteman Against Wontumi:
Recalling into memory, Mr Yandoh said some few days after the party held it’s vetting sittings for NPP parliamentary hopefuls, there was a strange allegation that Chairman Wontumi had insulted the 2024 Vice Presidential candidate of the NPP.
The persons including one late Chief, Mr Yandoh indicated also extended the accusations by claiming Chairman Wontumi had also made unsavoury comments towards the Overlord of Asanteman.
This accusation, the Director of Communications noted was targeted to defame and lower the public respect the NPP regional commanded in Ashanti and across Ghana.
“Looking back a year ago today where this evil accusation was levelled against Chairman Wontumi I am filled with thanks to God Almighty for vindicating the regional Chairman who was even dragged to Antoa to extricate himself from the accusations levelled against him”, Mr Yandoh posited.
Destiny:
Mr Yandoh said he believes God has designed the destinies of men and women.
He noted that the very destiny of Chairman Wontumi was special, hence the fame he has gotten by his lifestyle and public conduct.
The Director of Communications therefore urged people to rather than seek the downfall of others like Chairman Wontumi pray to God to help them know the purpose of their existence.
“Chairman Wontumi is a special person and a blessed man and those who plot evil against him will be fighting God because he is always vindicated by time and circumstances”, Mr Yandoh stressed.
