President John Mahama has sworn in the fourth batch of ministers of state, in accordance with Article 78(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
This follows their approval by Parliament after a thorough vetting process and extensive debates by the Appointments Committee.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Jubilee House on Friday, February 7, marked the official start of their roles in critical government positions.
The newly sworn-in ministers include Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, who will serve as the Minister for Labour, Jobs, and Employment, and Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, who will take on the role of Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology.
Samuel Nartey George has been appointed as the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, while Kofi Iddie Adams assumes the position of Minister for Sports and Recreation. Joseph Bukari Nikpe has been sworn in as the Minister for Transport, with Kwabena Mintah Akandoh taking charge as the Minister for Health.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa will serve as the Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Felix Kwakye Ofosu has been appointed as the Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications.
The others include Seidu Issifu as the Minister of State in Charge of Climate Change and Sustainability. Charity Gardiner has been sworn in as the Regional Minister for Ahafo, while Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu will oversee the Savannah Region.
