Video: Nurse and her kids burnt to death in Atonsu-Ginayse in another devastating fire outbreak
A devastating fire outbreak has claimed the lives of a nurse, Linda Kusi, 35, and her three children at Atonsu Ginayse in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashokwei Region.
The tragic incident occurred on Saturday, leaving the community in shock and grief.
According to eyewitnesses, the children, two boys, and a girl, were aged 14, 10, and 4, respectively.
Residents in an interview with OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng revealed that they saw the fire in the early hours of Saturday while the family was asleep.
Despite efforts to rescue them, the fire intensified when a gas cylinder exploded, trapping the four in the room.
The residents expressed their devastation and sadness at the loss of lives.
The bodies of the nurse and her children have been conveyed to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for further investigation.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and the community is still reeling from the tragedy.
