Gender Minister Visits Fire Victims in Kumasi, Assures Support

The Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has visited the scene of the devastating fire outbreak at Kumasi Adum Blue Light.
The visit was to express her condolences to those affected and assess the extent of the damage.
Addressing the media, Dr. Lartey commended the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, for his swift intervention and the security agencies for their efforts in combating the fire.
She assured the affected traders, youth, and residents that the government is committed to providing support to help them recover their losses.
While acknowledging that not all goods may be restored, she promised measures would be put in place to assist victims in restarting their businesses.
Dr. Lartey urged the affected individuals to remain patient and ignore misleading information, emphasizing that plans are underway to construct a new market structure to enhance their business operations.
The Chief Executive Officer of MASLOC, Madam Abigail Elorm Mensah, has extended her condolences to victims of the devastating fire at Kumasi Adum Blue Light.
She assured affected traders, youth, and residents of MASLOC’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts in helping them rebuild.
Madam Mensah emphasized that while full recovery may take time, MASLOC will provide financial assistance to ensure victims can restart their businesses and regain stability.
