Kennedy Agyapong Visits CCC; Appeals to Christian Leaders To Partner Politicians For Development

Reverend Ransford Obeng, General Overseer of CCC captured making a point while Kennedy Agyapong was seated

Famous politician and businessman, Hon Kennedy Ohene Agyapong on Sunday visited the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) at Ayigya to fellowship with the General Overseer and the congregation.

The visit, the first from the former flag-bearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) afforded him the opportunity to meet with the Pastors and elders of the church as well as interact with them.

In his brief remarks at a private meeting with the CCC General Overseer, the former Assin Central MP said it was time Christian Leaders made a conscious effort to reach out to political leaders with ideas to develop the country.

“I believe in all sincerity that politicians cannot do it alone because we sometimes get it wrong but a partnership with you, the religious leaders would keep us on track as we also jointly implement the ideas that have made your ministries successful”, Hon Agyapong stated.

Admonition:

Responding, the General Overseer of CCC, Reverend Ransford Obeng said it was important for politicians to see religious leaders as partners of development.

He noted that not all religious leaders were doing the right thing but said it would be erroneous on anyone’s part to think that all religious were only after the money of their congregation as well as living wayward lifestyles.

Reverend Obeng therefore welcomed the suggestion from Hon Agyapong for positive engagements with politicians.

“It is a good call from my friend Kennedy Agyapong and I believe a partnership between us would portend better things for our people as we together brainstorm on better ways to make life bearable for the population”, Reverend Obeng stressed.

Sermon:

Earlier on, Reverend Ransford Obeng in a sermon urged Christians to use their expertise to help others to succeed in the fields they operate.

He also encouraged them to make their gifting and talents available to the church for use.

Reverend Obeng tasked Christians to consciously join a ministry or a group in the church where they can best deploy their talents in the building of God’s kingdom.

“True Christians do not live for themselves but for others too and this is the reason why monuments are erected for those whose lives benefit their society and nations. So I urge you to use your talents to help others and to build God’s Kingdom”, Rev Obeng stated.
