Police arrest fourth suspect in Kumasi MoMo vendor murder case

The Ghana Police Service has apprehended another suspect in connection with the robbery and murder of a mobile money (MoMo) vendor in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
The suspect, identified as Martin Amoah, also known as “Baba Macho,” was arrested on Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Kpone, Greater Accra Region, following an intelligence-led operation.
Amoah had been declared wanted by the Ashanti Regional Police, and his arrest brings the total number of suspects detained in connection with the case to four.
The police have confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody and will soon be arraigned to face charges.
The arrest marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation into the tragic incident, which has drawn widespread attention. The Ghana Police Service added that it remains committed to ensuring justice is served and has urged the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement efforts.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Godwin Ahianyo, the Public Affairs Officer, issued the statement and reiterated the police’s dedication to maintaining public safety and security.
