Bawumia Not Under Akufo-Addo’s Control, Worthy to Lead NPP – Dr Amoako Baah

A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Amoako Baah, has praised former Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for proving his independence and worthiness to lead the party.

According to Dr. Baah, Dr. Bawumia’s decision to concede defeat in the 2024 polls without external influence demonstrates his ability to think and act independently.

Prior to Dr. Bawumia’s selection as NPP’s flagbearer, many speculated that he would be controlled by former President Akuffo Addo.

However, Dr. Baah notes that Dr. Bawumia’s actions have shown he is a leader who can work without manipulation from others.

Dr. Baah, a Political Science Analyst, believes Dr. Bawumia has proven himself worthy of leading the party.

He also observes that Dr. Bawumia remains popular within the party and wouldn’t be surprised if he wins again to lead the party as flagbearer.

Interestingly, Dr. Baah had previously suggested a joint ticket of Dr. Bawumia and Alan Kyeremanteng to win power in 2024.
