Mahama’s Kwadaso MCE nominee secures 100% approval

The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has unanimously endorsed Eric Assibey as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) after his nomination by President John Dramani Mahama, giving him 100% approval.

All 22 assembly members present voted in favour of Assibey’s nomination, confirming him as the new MCE for the municipality.

In his acceptance remarks, Eric Assibey expressed profound gratitude and called for collective efforts to drive the development of Kwadaso.

“I am very happy to see all these people gathered here today. When we look at all these people, we can confidently say that Kwadaso has come far, and we do not want to go back. Some people have contributed to what we are seeing today.

“If that were not the case, we would not have seen the unity being displayed here. We have the former MP, and traditional rulers here, which has beautified the unity in Kwadaso.”

The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko, also underscored the need for unity, regardless of political affiliations, to advance development in the area.

“Politics is a key part of our lives. Given that, we all cannot belong to the same school of thought, but we must use politics to bring the development needed in our community. As we speak, it is the NDC in power and we want to wish them well.

“We need unity to bring the development that Kwadaso needs,” he added.
