Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, Former Education Minister and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe
Former Education Minister and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, has officially declared his intention to contest the flagbearer race of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for 2028 presidential elections.
The public announcement was made on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
His declaration comes a day after the party announced it will hold the flagbearership polls on January 31, 2026.
Addressing the ranks and file of the NPP, Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum underscored his commitment to uniting the base of the party and bringing every single member of the party on board for victory in the 2028 general elections.
He noted that, just like he served the Education Ministry with honesty, dedication, hard work, and respect, he will continue and even better his portfolio if given the nod.
Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum has urged the base of the party to rally behind him for victory in the next general polls, emphasizing his vision for a stronger and more united NPP.
