Hundreds of traders and delegates at the Kumasi Railways market in the Ashanti Region have thrown their weight behind Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum’s bid for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential nomination.
The group, comprising delegates and staunch party members, believes Dr. Adutwum’s track record and leadership qualities make him an ideal candidate.
Addressing the media on Monday, June 23, 2025, David Osei Kuffour, a leading member of the traders and executive member of the Ashanti Second-Hand Shoe Sellers Association, cited Dr. Adutwum’s compelling achievements as Education Minister and his unifying character as reasons for their endorsement.
The group has pledged to lead a door-to-door campaign in support of Dr. Adutwum’s bid, aiming to ensure he emerges as the NPP’s presidential candidate and ultimately wins the presidency.
Mr. Kuffour urged delegates to choose Dr. Adutwum if the party wants to present a formidable candidate for the 2028 polls.
