No Charges for Scholarship Applications -Kwaku Asafo Agyei Assures Public

The Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, Alex Kwaku Asafo-Agyei, has clarified that the organization does not charge any fees for awarding scholarships.

According to him, the process is entirely free of charge, and applicants should not be asked to pay any amount at any point during his tenure.

Mr. Asafo-Agyei emphasized that his office is committed to ensuring that the scholarship application process is transparent and accessible to all eligible applicants.

Speaking to News men on Wednesday June 4, 2025, Mr Asafo Agyei assured the public that the Secretariat’s operations are guided by strict protocols to prevent any form of exploitation or unauthorized charges.

The Registrar’s clarification comes amid concerns that some individuals may be taking advantage of unsuspecting applicants by demanding payment in exchange for scholarship awards.

Mr. Asafo-Agyei urged applicants to be cautious and report any attempts to solicit payment or engage in corrupt practices.

The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat is responsible for administering various scholarship schemes to support the education of Ghanaian students. The Secretariat’s commitment to transparency and accountability is crucial in ensuring that the scholarship application process is fair and accessible to all.

Applicants are advised to verify any information or requests through official channels, and report any suspicious activities to the Secretariat or relevant authorities.
