You’re a benevolent pillar of support.” -KNUST Law Students’ Union Honours COKA

The Law Students’ Union (LSU) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has honored Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (popularly known as COKA) with a Citation of Appreciation during the Union’s 20th Anniversary Celebration held at the prestigious Longford Event Centre.

The citation lauds Chairman COKA as “an extraordinary statesman, a consummate leader, and a benevolent pillar of support.” The recognition was presented in acknowledgement of his exemplary leadership, unwavering generosity, and steadfast commitment to the growth and development of Ghana’s youth—particularly aspiring law students.

The document pays tribute to Chairman COKA’s multifaceted contributions, which include financial sponsorship, mentorship, and strategic support.

“You saw in us not just students, but the promise of a brighter Ghana,” the citation reads. “With a father’s heart and a statesman’s foresight, you chose to invest in that promise. For this, we are eternally grateful.”

President of the Law Students’ Union, Evans Osei Bonsu, officially presented the framed citation to Chairman COKA, emphasizing that the honour transcends a single moment. “It is a modest symbol of the deep respect, appreciation, and admiration we hold for you. Your impact echoes into generations.”

Chairman COKA, known widely for his community leadership and political engagement, has long championed educational and youth development causes in Ghana. This latest recognition reaffirms his status as a role model whose actions speak louder than words in shaping the future of Ghanaian leadership.

The event was part of a broader celebration, marking two decades of the KNUST Law Students’ Union’s commitment to legal education, student advocacy, and professional development.
