President John Dramani Mahama will today, July 1, lead Ghana’s inaugural National Day of Prayer, aimed at promoting unity, peace, and spiritual reflection amid the country’s challenges.
The day features interfaith prayers, with a Christian service at 8:00 a.m. at the State House and an Islamic session at 12:00 noon at the National Mosque in Accra.
Key religious figures participating include Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson and Chief Imam Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.
Organisers hope the annual event will foster national cohesion and moral renewal.
