Justin Frimpong Kodua: NDC’s abysmal performance has Ghanaians looking back to NPP

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has urged party members to unite behind a common vision as the party positions itself to recapture power from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking at the NPP National Delegates Conference, Kodua said Ghanaians are disillusioned with the performance of the current government and are looking to the NPP as the most credible alternative but only if the party proves it is ready for leadership.

“Ghanaians are watching us. The youth are watching us. The farmers are watching us. The traders are watching us,” Kodua said. “They want to vote for an opposition party that is ready for power, one that is united, focused, and forward-looking.”

He cautioned against internal strife and called on party faithful to eschew divisive actions and rhetoric that risk derailing the NPP’s chances in the next general election.

“Actions and inactions that divide us, that bring acrimony and tension, must be relegated. Ghanaians must see us as a proper, responsible, and viable opposition party,” he stressed.

Kodua also took a swipe at the Mahama-led administration, describing its governance as “abysmal” and a source of hardship for many Ghanaians.

“To rescue the nation from the misery of the NDC, we must fight as one body with one identified vision and ambition,” he declared.
