Business mogul and politician Kwasi Addai Odike has thrown his weight behind Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum’s bid to become the next presidential candidate for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Odike, Dr. Adutwum stands out among other contenders due to his exceptional leadership qualities and proven track record.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Odike highlighted Dr. Adutwum’s impressive credentials, particularly his tenure as Education Minister, which he described as one of the best in Ghana’s history.
Odike believes Dr. Adutwum is the only candidate who can unite the party’s base and lead it to victory in the 2028 polls.
Odike cited Dr. Adutwum’s leadership experience, his ability to unify the party, and his rich CV, including significant reforms in the education sector, such as the expansion of STEM education. Odike’s endorsement adds to the growing support for Dr. Adutwum, including hundreds of traders and party delegates in Kumasi.
The NPP’s presidential primaries are slated for January 31, 2026.
