2025 WASSCE: Deputy GES Director pays unannounced visit to exams centers, warns against malpractices

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has warned that it will not tolerate any form of examination malpractice in the ongoing West Africa Senior High Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The Deputy Director-General of GES, Prof. Smile Gavua Dzisi, stated this during an unannounced visit to some examination centers in the Ashanti Region.

Prof. Dzisi, who was accompanied by the Regional Director of Education, Dr. William Amankrah Appiah, expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exams so far.

However, she warned that any individual or group found engaging in activities contrary to the rules of the exams will face severe consequences.

The GES Deputy Director-General encouraged students to rely on their studies rather than seeking leaked questions or resorting to cheating.

She also urged teachers and invigilators to maintain integrity and avoid interfering with students during the exams.

Dr. Appiah echoed Prof. Dzisi’s sentiments, condemning examination malpractice and urging all stakeholders to uphold integrity throughout the WASSCE period.

The GES’s stance is clear: those found culpable of examination malpractice will face strict consequences
