S/R: Six rescued, several feared drowned after boat capsizes on Black Volta

Six people have been rescued while an unspecified number are feared drowned after a boat carrying displaced persons capsized on the Black Volta at Dinie Tuonbo in the Savannah Region.
The victims were reportedly attempting to cross the river when the overloaded boat overturned.
Personnel from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and other security agencies have since deployed a rescue team to the area to search for survivors and retrieve bodies.
This development follows violent clashes at Gbinyiri, a farming community in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District, which left six people dead and 18 others injured.
Local authorities said the violence erupted on Sunday morning, August 17, after a dispute over a parcel of land.
