Aflao chief visits Manhyia Palace with over 200 men to pay respects to late Asantehemaa

The Paramount Chief of Aflao Traditional Area and President of the Forum of Kings and Traditional Leaders of Africa, Torgbi Amenya Fiti V, paid a solemn visit to the Manhyia Palace to pay his last respects to the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.

 The chief was accompanied by an entourage of over 200 people, demonstrating the respect and solidarity of traditional leaders across Africa.

During his visit, Torgbi Amenya Fiti V joined the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on the third day of the final Burial Rites.

 The Asantehene is mourning the passing of his sister, who was not only a revered queen but also a symbol of the Asante Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.

The Forum of Kings and Traditional Leaders of Africa, under the leadership of Torgbi Amenya Fiti V, is expected to bring together chiefs from across the continent to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Asantehemaa.

The occasion serves as a testament to the unity and solidarity among traditional leaders in Africa.

Torgbi Amenya Fiti V’s induction as President of the Forum of Kings and Traditional Leaders of Africa was a recent and significant milestone.

 The colourful ceremony, held in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, marked a new chapter in the chief’s leadership journey.

The visit to the Manhyia Palace underscores the strong bonds between traditional leaders and their commitment to honouring the legacy of the late Asantehemaa.

 The occasion has brought together chiefs from across Africa to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a remarkable queen.
