Family of late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka informs Otumfuo of his passing.
The family of the Apostle Kadwo Safo Kantanka has officially informed his royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II of the passing of their beloved member on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The technological icon, philanthropist, agriculturalist and industrialist passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
The Safo family and the Kristo Asafo Church confirmed his peaceful passing in a statement, describing him as a pioneer, philanthropist, and technological icon.
A delegation led by Nana Osei Fosu Adutwum, Kwasohene, officially informed the Asantehene on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
Among the delegation were former Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Hon Sarah Adwoa Safo and her siblings, namely Ohemaa Ama Safowaa and Nana Ama Safo Nyankonton.
Otumfuo tasked the family to honor their legend by handling the burial arrangements with the highest dignity.
“In accordance with tradition, make my office abreast with all preparations. Avoid all forms of violence and misunderstandings that may mar the funeral.
“He was an accomplished man, and so he must be accorded the needed honour. Go by tradition to avoid any misunderstandings. Whatever you plan must be in accordance with tradition.”
His Majesty also offered his unflinching support to the family.
The family is yet to make plans for the One Week Observation and the funeral rites.
In addition, he urged everyone to refrain from offensive remarks on social media so that his kids could grieve for their father.
