Asanko Gold Ghana inaugurate ghc2.3m multipurpose community centre in Manso Nkran

Asanko Gold Ghana has officially inaugurated a modern Multipurpose Community Centre in Manso Nkran, a key host community in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region.
The centre, constructed at a cost of GHS 2,318,209, serves as a hub for knowledge sharing, community gatherings, capacity-building programs, and cultural exchange.
“The facility represents a major milestone in Asanko Gold Ghana’s Social Investment and Community Development Programme, designed to address infrastructure gaps and promote social cohesion within its host communities,” Dr. Charles Amoah, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Asanko Gold Ghana, stated.
The community centre is equipped with modern facilities to support various activities, including youth programs, skills training, wellness initiatives, and cultural events.
Addressing the gathering on Tuesday October 14, 2025, Dr. Amoah, said this initiative demonstrates the company’s dedication to long-term community development, extending beyond physical infrastructure to empower host communities, enhance livelihoods, and build resilience.
Dr Amaoh noted Asanko Gold Ghana has introduced several impactful initiatives under its Social Investment and Community Development Programme.
“These include the Asanko Scholarship Scheme, which has awarded full educational support to 15 brilliant but needy students, and a soap-making initiative empowering women and youth with livelihood skills and income-generating opportunities”. He said.
“The company has also launched an Agro Input Support Program to boost agricultural productivity and food security in host communities” .
The Executive Vice President added that , a modern 10-seater toilet facility has been constructed for the Kwankyeabo community, improving sanitation and promoting better hygiene and public health standards.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by traditional authorities, district officials, and representatives from host community.
The Paramount Chief of Manso Nkwanta, Nana BI-Kusi Appiah, expressed gratitude to Asanko Gold Ghana for the initiative, which he said would significantly benefit the community.
He emphasized the importance of partnership and cooperation, urging the host communities to collaborate with Asanko Mines accerelated development.
He lauded Manso Nkran community for their support throughout the project.
The paramount Chief also appreciated the project team, contractors, and the Community Development Committee for their dedication and hard work
