Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum Declares “I Am the Delegates’ Choice”

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, MP for Bosomtwe and flag-bearer aspirant of the NPP

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, a leading aspirant in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming flagbearer elections, asserts that he is the superior choice to lead the party.

Speaking to this reporter over the weekend, Dr. Adutwum stated that his platform, which centers on empowering Ghanaians through education and poverty reduction strategies, has been well-received by the party’s rank and file.

He noted that the delegates in the eight regions he has toured so far have enthusiastically embraced his vision.

“I have presented a clear vision of education and poverty reduction strategies to delegates across Ghana, and they see in me the best choice to lead the NPP into the 2028 general election,” Dr. Adutwum affirmed.

Delegate Interactions:

Describing his interactions with delegates nationwide, Dr. Adutwum characterized them as “eye-opening and engaging.”

He highlighted that in the three Bono regions—Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East—delegates were particularly enthusiastic about his proposal to use modern technology to revolutionize agriculture. Dr. Adutwum believes this approach will stimulate the local economy and significantly enhance food production and security.

The former Education Minister added that delegates in the Western, Western North, and Ashanti regions have also strongly supported the concept of using education as a primary tool for poverty reduction, in addition to the technology-driven food production idea.

Campaign Strategy:

Dr. Adutwum outlined a carefully structured campaign plan designed to reach every constituency before the January 31st voting day.

He explained that his team has adopted a combination of zonal and cluster modes of engagement to meet with delegates.

The Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe is confident that he will not only finish touring all 16 regions but also have time to conduct “mop-up” visits in certain regions and constituencies before the election.

“I am certain I will finish all 16 regions of the country before voting day,” Dr. Adutwum stated.

“My team and I have structured the campaign in a way that allows me to spend more days in areas where I remain competitive.”
