About 66 percent of incumbent Constituency Youth Organizers and their deputies of the New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region have declared their support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the party’s flagbearer race.
62 out of 94 incumbent youth organizers in the region believe Dr. Bawumia is the best person to lead the NPP to victory in the 2028 polls.
According to them, 73% of former youth organizers and their deputies who are eligible to vote in the presidential primaries have also joined Team Bawumia.
Addressing the media in a press conference on Tuesday, Nana Kwadwo Pipim, Convener for the group and Youth Organizer for Old Tafo Constituency, said, “Our endorsement is based on conviction about the personality and leadership qualities of Dr. Bawumia”.
“He exemplifies integrity, humility, competence, and charisma. We believe his high intellect and vision are what Ghana needs in a leader.”
Nana Pipim stressed that the remaining youth organizers and their deputies will soon join the chorus and vote for Dr. Bawumia for the party’s victory in the next polls.
