One arrested after 30-year-old barber found dead in Bantama

Bantama murder: 30-year-old barber found dead; one suspect arrested Residents of Bantama in the Ashanti Region are in a state of shock following the tragic killing of a 30-year-old man.

The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, when the man’s lifeless body was discovered near the market area.
According to reports, the victim, believed to be a barber, often slept around the market and lorry station. A resident, Felix Kwabena Ansah, who claimed to know the deceased, told reporters:
“I know him. He’s a barber, but he doesn’t sleep in one place — sometimes he sleeps in the market, at the lorry station, or here. This morning, I went to work, but there’s a woman here who usually sends me on errands. When I returned from one of those errands, my boss informed me that the guy had died. So I came to see him and then went back. I saw bloodstains, so I’m sure someone struck him with something.”
Meanwhile, police have arrested one suspect in connection with the incident. The body has since been conveyed to the morgue for preservation and autopsy as investigations continue.
