Dr Osei Kwame Despite arrives at Heroes Park as Nana Acheampong set to perform at Daddy Lumba’s funeral
Renowned Ghanaian business mogul Dr Osei Kwame Despite has arrived at the Heroes Park to pay his last respects to the late highlife icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
His arrival adds to a growing list of high-profile personalities and dignitaries present at the final funeral rites of the music legend. Also in attendance are celebrated musician Nana Acheampong, Dadiesoaba Hemaa, and several other traditional leaders, industry players, and public figures.
The Heroes Park remains filled to capacity as thousands of fans and sympathisers continue to throng the venue to honour the life and legacy of Daddy Lumba, whose music shaped generations of Ghanaians.
However, as proceedings continue, widow Akosua Serwaa is still not present at the funeral grounds. Family sources indicate she is yet to arrive to pay her last respects.
Meanwhile, anticipation is building as Nana Acheampong is expected to take the stage shortly to perform in tribute to the late musician. The performance will precede the final rites and the export of Daddy Lumba’s remains for burial.
