Best Brain Publication Limited launches STEM Quiz to boost junior high education

Best Brain Publication Limited has officially launched the Best Brain STEM Quiz, a new educational competition aimed at enhancing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning among Junior High School students across the country.

The competition, which focuses on science, technology, engineering, robotics and mathematics, is scheduled to begin on February 16 and end on May 29, 2026.

It will be aired on Natioanl Television stations every Saturday and will feature 32 private  Junior High Schools competing for top honours in a series of intellectually challenging contests designed to promote innovation and critical thinking.

Attractive prizes have been outlined for participating schools.

The third runner-up will receive Five Thousand Ghana Cedis and tablets for each student. The second runner-up will take home Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis, tablets and educational materials for each student, while the first runner-up will be awarded Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis along with tablets and educational materials.

The overall winners will receive Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis and a brand-new laptop for each student.

Speaking at the launch held at the head office of Best Brain Publication Limited on Monday, January 26, 2026, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Henry Atta Baah Yeboah, highlighted the importance of the competition emphasized that this initiative is in line with the government’s vision of strengthening STEM education in Ghana and explained the criteria and qualifications schools must meet to participate in the contest.

The Ashanti Regional Deputy  Director of Education, Mr. Thomas Kwame Boateng, also underscored the relevance of the competition, noting that it will help students develop creativity, critical thinking and innovative skills.

He urged the public to embrace STEM education and assured Best Brain Publication Limited of the Ghana Education Service’s full support for the successful implementation of the competition.
