Horrific: Two burnt to ashes, two injured in Offinso road crash

A tragic accident at Offinso Old Town in the Ashanti Region has claimed the lives of two individuals, with two others injured and receiving treatment at a local hospital.

The victims, a male and a female, died when their car caught fire following a collision with a trailer (GR-1357-W) and a mini truck carrying building materials .

Residents told OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim that the accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, January 12, 2026.

The female victim, a building materials trader, was transporting goods from Kumasi to Offinso when the crash happened.

She and the driver were severely burnt and died at the scene.

The bodies have been sent to the hospital for further investigation, and police have taken over the scene to probe the accident.

The two injured individuals, the trailer driver and his drivers mate are receiving medical attention .
