Kumasi: Your prudent governance saves individual importers over GH¢48k – Suame Magazine spare parts dealers laud President Mahama

Spare parts dealers at Kumasi’s Suame Magazine have praised President John Dramani Mahama’s administration for saving individual importers GH¢48,000, attributing this to his efforts in stabilizing the exchange rate.

In an interview with OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim, the dealers reflected on President Mahama’s first year in office, stating that the stable cedi has helped their business and families.

“Just 2024, the dealers needed some 178,000 cedis to get 10,000 dollars, now with 130,000 cedis is enough to buy the same amount of dollars,” a dealer said.

“We saved 48,000 cedis, a whooping amount we can use for many purposes at home, this is why we are particularly happy with this government”.

The spare parts dealers admitted prices of their goods have gone down due to the stable cedi, praising the government for putting in place prudent measures.

They urged President Mahama to continue his good works as he marked one year in office on January 7, 2026.
