I’m surprised, but the delegates have spoken – Dr. Stephen Amoah expresses shock as Dr. Bawumia wins Nhyiaeso
Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso constituency and a leading member of Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team, Dr. Stephen Amoah expressed shock after Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia won the constituency.
Speaking to OTEC NEWS Bismark Appiah Kubi, Dr Amoah admitted he expected Agyapong to win Nhyiaeso with at least 60% of the vote
He noted that the outcome was truly surprising given the visibility and work done by Kennedy’s campaign on the ground.
Despite his personal shock, he acknowledged that the delegates have spoken, signaling his acceptance of the democratic result within his own constituency.
Dr. Amoah had openly supported Kennedy Agyapong, even helping to pick up his nomination forms in August 2025.
He has since blamed Dr. Bawumia that he was responsible for the party’s 2024 general election overwhelming defeat.
