A National Chairmanship aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko, has stressed the need for the party to elect leaders with integrity, sincerity and a strong sense of fairness.

Speaking on OTEC FM’s afternoon political programme Dwabrem on Thursday, February 25, 2026, Mr. Agyarko said the future of the NPP depends largely on the credibility and trustworthiness of its leadership.

The programme, hosted by Prince Nii Ardey, popularly known as Dr Cash, offered the aspirant the platform to outline his vision for the party’s national chairmanship.

According to him, the NPP requires a chairman who can be trusted by all members and who will lead the party with honesty and transparency.

“The NPP needs people with integrity. The chairman must be trustworthy and sincere in dealing with party members,” he stated.

Mr. Agyarko emphasized that leadership within the party must be fair and impartial, adding that equal opportunities must be given to all aspirants and stakeholders.

“The leadership must be fair to all. We must open the playing field for everyone to compete freely without fear or favour,” he stressed.

He noted that creating a level playing field will strengthen internal democracy within the party and promote unity ahead of future elections.

Mr. Agyarko expressed confidence that with transparent and principled leadership, the NPP will remain strong and united, capable of winning the confidence of Ghanaians.
