Manhyia: Ekuona Royal Family of Nsuta officially informs Otumfuo of Daddy Lumba’s death
The family of the deceased music legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba, has officially informed the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II about the demise of their family member
Given that Daddy Lumba is a well-known public personality and was born Ashanti, the family’s visit to Manhyia Palace is a demonstration of culture and tradition.
Speaking to OTEC News Bismark Appiah Kubi Papilo, Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu Boahen clad in his black ‘Kuntukuni’ described how the family was shocked to learn of Daddy Lumba’s passing, adding that the loss had left them all in a state of profound sadness.
Despite acknowledging that there were several reports of Lumba’s death, he stated that he and the entire Lumba’s family had to formally notify Asantehene before they could begin funeral preparations.
He disclosed that Asantehene has given the family the go-ahead to plan Lumba’s funeral and report their arrangements back to him
Additionally, Abusuapanin Boahen counseled Daddy Lumba’s fans and well-wishers to remain composed during their grief.
