NPP’s Dr. Bryan Acheampong mourns El-Wak Stadium military recruitment victims
The Presidential Candidate Aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of the El-Wak Stadium tragedy, where six young Ghanaians lost their lives during a military recruitment exercise.
In a statement issued on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Dr. Acheampong described the incident as a “wound to our nation’s soul” and urged a thorough review to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
“Every Ghanaian life is sacred, and I urge that a thorough review be conducted to prevent such occurrences in the future,” Dr. Acheampong said.
He added, “Our youth deserve opportunities that are safe, dignified, and hopeful.”
Dr. Acheampong also prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace and for their memory to strengthen the resolve to build a Ghana where hope is never crushed.
He urged the government to roll out pragmatic measures to ensure safety of the youth in such exercises
