Asantehene receives rousing homecoming at Prempeh Airport after Europe, North America tour
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, was on Sunday given a rousing welcome on his return to Ghana following a working visit to Poland and Canada.


The atmosphere at the Prempeh International Airport in Kumasi turned into a sea of tradition and celebration as the monarch’s aircraft touched down.
Hundreds of chiefs, queen mothers, and subjects from across the Asante Kingdom thronged the airport to welcome the King.

Clad in rich kente and adorned with gold ornaments, the chiefs lined the tarmac while drummers and fontomfrom ensembles filled the air with royal rhythms.

Subjects waved flags and chanted praises, turning the homecoming into a grand cultural display.
The Asantehene’s working visit to Poland and Canada forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the Asante Kingdom and international partners.

While abroad, Otumfuo engaged with government officials, business leaders, and the Ghanaian diaspora on issues including education, investment, and cultural diplomacy.
Palace sources say the visit was aimed at attracting development partnerships to benefit Asanteman.
Speaking to OTEC news Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng some individuals who welcomed the renowned monarch b expressed appreciation to the Asantehene for his tirelessl efforts to promoting Asanteman and Ghana.
They thanked the the King for his loyalty and patience during his in serving Asanteman and Ghana.
We will continue to remain united and committed to peace and development as Asanteman continues to push for progress on both local and global fronts”. A local chief said.
The Asantehene was later escorted in a grand procession through the principal streets of Kumasi back to the Manhyia Palace.
Security was tight as thousands of residents lined the routes to catch a glimpse of the monarch.
Chiefs and elders say the massive turnout reflects the deep reverence and love the people of Asante have for their King.
