President Akuffu Addo raises concern about the recent spate of road accidents
The President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo has raised concerns about the recent spate of accidents on our roads and expressed his government’s determination to find the needed resources to fix the bad roads in the country to reduce carnage of our roads.
The President was of the view that due to bad nature of our roads which led to the death of the fast-rising Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns born as Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng on Thursday night on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway
The remains of Ebony and two other occupants established to be her bodyguard and a close pal who were in the vehicle with her have since been deposited at a local hospital in the Brong Ahafo Region.
The accident was caused by a heap of sand along the road and bad state of the road has been a topic since the incident.
Prez Akuffo Addo in a Facebook post on Friday wrote ” I am very concerned about the recent spate of road accidents, and the ensuring death and injuries. I have asked the ministers for interior, roads and highways and transport to meet and come out with proposals immediately to address this critical issue in order to improve the safety of our roads.
