Bosomtwe District Assembly supports affected rainstorm communities

The Bosomtwe District Assembly together with the District NADMO Office has gone to the aid of some communities which were affected by a recent rainstorm.

Some communities in the District suffered heavy damages after the heavy downpour within the month of April.

District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Joseph Assuming and the District NADMO Director, Okatakyie Michael Yaw Acheampong, have donated some items worth a thousand cedis to the affected victims and communities.

The affected communities including Kokodei, Pramso, Tetrefu and Nyaneani received items such as fifty (50) bags of cement, twenty (20) packets of roofing sheets, mattresses and other building materials.

Speaking in an interview with Otec news, the Bosomtwe DCE, Joseph Assuming, expressed worry about the damages caused by the rainstorm but says nothing could be done by man to prevent God’s work. He stated that even though the havoc has been caused, victims should not be left to suffer hence the need to support them.

Bosomtwe District NADMO Director, Michael Yaw Nkwanta, assured members of the affected communities that his outfit will always rescue victims of any disaster because it was their responsibility. He however called on the various communities in the District to plant more trees to serve as windbreak.
