Missing Taadi girls: DNA test on Kasaworodo bodies to be concluded within 4 weeks – Police
The Ghana Police Service has said it expects to conclude DNA tests on the human remains it discovered in Kasaworodo in Takoradi within the next 4 weeks.
The human parts, two skulls, were exhumed by the police investigating the kidnapping of three girls in Takoradi, from the backyard of the prime suspect, Samuel Udoetuk Wills at Kansaworodo on Friday, 2 August 2019.
The Police in a Facebook post on Monday, 5 August 2019 assured the public “of covering all other angles of the investigation, while it expects to conclude DNA tests within the next four weeks.”
The post further explained that the Police discovered the human remains as a result of ongoing efforts at examining several angles of the investigation and “claims that a confession or tip-off led to the discovery are untrue.”
On Saturday, 3 August 2019, the Police held discussion with families of the three missing ladies in Takoradi to assist with DNA samples as part of the investigation and the families, according to the Police, are cooperating with the endeavour.
The three Takoradi girls have been missing for almost a year.
Ruthlove Quayson, Priscilla Blessing Bentum and Priscilla Koranchie went missing between August and December 2018.
