Veteran Ghanaian actor ‘Waakye’ dies at 52

The veteran Ghanaian actor, Prince Yawson, popularly known as Waakye on Tuesday (2 August) died at the 37 Military Hospital, close friends posted on social media.

Waakye died at 52 after a short illness.

Media personality Andy Dosty also took to his Instagram to confirm the death:

Waakye was well known for his appearance in the film ‘Diabolo’. He also featured in several Ghanaian films. He became an ordained reverend minister in April 2021.
