Police declares teacher wanted for murder

Mr. Agyeman Richard, a teacher in one of the International Schools in Dormaa Ahenfkro in the Brong Ahafo region has been declared wanted by the Daaba police for the suspected murder of his best friend. For the past three years the whereabouts of Mr. Agyeman has become a mystery since his family can not locate him.

According to a family friend called Agya Manu, on March 2014, Mr. Agyeman went to Diabaa in the Dormaa West Constituency to roof his home which had been destroyed by storm and solicited the help of his friend to go into the forest to cut a tree which he intends to use to roof his destroyed two room thatch house.

According to Agya Manu, when the two failed to come back home, a search party was organized to go into the forest to look for them but sadly they saw only the dead body of his best friend, Mr. Kwesi Kyei under a fallen tree.

He said all efforts made to locate Mr. Agyeman proved futile and the case was reported to the police who also mounted search for him but that too did not yield any result.

When Daily Guide contacted one of his friends Kwame Nkansah and asked him whether he has heard anything about his friend, he said since the case happened Mr. Agyeman has put off his mobile phone and has also never called him.

He suspected that his friend might have fled to Libya because of the seriousness of the crime.

Speaking to Newsmen, the wife of the late Kyei said since her husband died, she has been left alone to carter for the three children that she had with the late husband and that life has been very difficult.
