You are petty……… MP tell critics
The Member of Parliament for Wasa Amenfi east district hon. Patrick Kwame Bogyarko Saime has debunked claims and allegations levelled on him for not attending assembly sittings and festivities in his constituency describing it as Petty.
The restless member of Parliament, hon. Patrick Kwame Bogyarko Saime has been criticised by some communication members of the opposition party according to them, their member of Parliament has been vacant especially just ended ‘Adimkesse’ festival celebrated by the Wasa Amenfi Traditional Council and other occasions by the Traditional Council.
The pilling criticism by the gurus reveals the member of Parliament has been disguising himself from the sittings of district assembly lawmaking body and he appears to be a ‘ ghost’ in his constituency which according to them it has renders the assembly unproductive since the MP is to partake in their day to day obligations and functions.
However, expressing his displeasure on Rivers FM morning show Tuesday, he emphatically revealed without hesitating on how some of the communication members of the opposition party want to blackmail him despite his quota in WasaAmenfi east district.
“despite your quota, people will not appreciate but let me state it clearly that the works of parliamentarians are enormous of which time will not permit me to embrace all occasions though I have been visiting my constituency but some saboteurs will portray you as if you are not a good leader but never listen to their petty words, they are petty” he stressed.
In responding to his absenteeism at the referenda on the creation of Western North region, hon. Saime said it was not a deliberate but letters were issued by the speaker of Parliament on their behalf since the house is to proceed on their normal basis.
Hon. Patrick Kwame Bogyarko Saime gave instances about his colleagues in Wasa Amenfi Central and Amenfi West of not being present at the same referenda since they were of the same house ( Parliament ).
