We were not ready for victory – Michael Ola

micheal-olaFormer Public relations officer for Fipag, Michael Ola has revealed that the posture of some members and bigwigs in the NDC showed that they were not ready to win the 2016 elections.

Michael Ola who campaigned vigorously for the NDC in the 2016 elections, told OneCharles on Otec FM’s Anokyekrom that arrogance, laziness and complacency on the part of some parliamentary candidates and DCE’s cost the party victory in the elections. ” I feel that some people in the party really wanted us to lose” he asserted.

He recounted an incident where a DCE told told electorates that he careless whether they voted for him or not because he has made a fortune for himself within the 8 years of his service as DCE.

According to him, the party could not even provide buses to convey supporters from Accra to the volta region to vote on the election day unlike the NPP who conveyed supporters to all the regions to vote.
He expressed shock and disappointment at the final results of the elections adding that the efforts of AFFMA have been brought to a fruitless end.

Michael Ola and some players in the creative arts industry including, Director Isaac Rockson, Film Director Kwadwo Asare Bediako, Yaw Owusu Ansah, Kwabena Darko, Richard Sarkodie known as Osoode and many others formed a group called the Ashanti Faithful for Mahama (AFFMA) ahead of the 2016 elections to support President Mahama.
