Muntaka fingered in Kumasi Lorry station Violence
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) lawmaker for Asawase in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak has been blamed for the recently clash of some members of NDC and ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Tamale bus terminal in Kumasi.
The lawmaker is alleged to have aided some commercial drivers who are members of NDC in 2009 at the terminal to forcibly take control from managers of the station said to be members of the then opposition NPP.
Members of both parties have laid claim to the terminal at Alabar , a suburb in Kumasi on Thursday to cause confusion and distress for the many travellers accessing the terminal.
The timely invention of personnel from the Ashanti Regional Police Command saved the situation from what it could have turn bloody as both groups were poised to physically attack each other.
Given inside story of the unfortunate incident, some members of the Ghana Private Road and Transport Union of the Trade Union Congress (GPRTU of TUC) otecfmghana.com spoke to blamed the Member of Parliament (MP) and Minority Chief Whip for the confusion.

Meanwhile, the police administration in the region says the issue has nothing to do with politics as it is treating the matter as criminal.
