Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara has arrived in Ghana for a two-day state visit.
The purpose of the visit is to deepen further the already strong relations that exist between the two countries, as well as explore other areas of co-operation to their mutual benefit.
Key among the issues to be talked about is cocoa. Behind Ivory Coast, Ghana is the second largest cocoa exporter in the world.
The two presidents will also sign an agreement that will ensure the implementation of the ITLOS judgement.
This is the first time President Alassane Ouattara is visiting Ghana under the presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo.
President Akufo-Addo visited Ivory Coast in May as part of his ECOWAS tour and was awarded Cote d’Ivoire’s highest national award, La Grande Croix dans l’ordre National Ivorien (The Order of the Grand Ivorian Cross), at a State Dinner held in his honour by the Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara.
