Misean Cara rescues Piase community with water project

An Ireland based Redemptorist “Misean Cara” has gone to the rescue of the people of Piase, a community in the Bosomtwe District of Ashanti Region by providing them portable water.

 

The projects which consists of five (5) mechanized boreholes and the repair of two (2) others which had broken down.

The project was initiated by chairman for the Piase water and sanitation committee,Mr. Karikari Agyeman in collaboration with a former Assembly member for the area, Hon. Patrick Adusei. As part of an agreement, Chiefs of the community released twenty-five (25) acres of land to the redemptorist to begin a project there.

Addressing a durbar to commission the project,  leader of the Misean Cara, Don Lucy, pleged their support to the community and charged them to make good use of the project as well as maintain it to last long.

Rev. Father Christian Klu, the country Representative also assured the community of Misean Cara’s continuous support as they begin a Catholic training school in the area.

For his part, Chief of Piase, Nana Osei Afriyie Gyamerah, thanked Don Lucy and his Misean Cara for their support and called for more of developmental project in the area especially with the completion of their community center which is under construction.
