Cloth seller, 40,  found dead  at Akateng

A cloth seller, whose name was given only as Komesuor, was found dead in the early hours of Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Akateng market, near Asasewa in the Upper Manya Krobo in the Eastern region.

The man, believed to be in his forties, who dealt in jeans and skirts, was found dead with blood oozing from his nose and stomach, wearing blue jeans without white, lying on the ground with his stomach.

Confirming the incident to Afram FM, a private radio station, the Assembly member for the Akanteng Electoral Area, Hon. Yaw William Dugbedzo, said he had a called around 1 am by an anonymous caller who reported the incident to him, he quickly rushed to the scene and found Komesuor lying in a pool of blood with blood oozing from the stomach and nose, with several wounds.

He told the host, Torgbui Gadeka, that “the deceased came from the nearby village and used motor-bike to commute. He sometimes sleeps in the market when closed at late night and we don’t know who did that outrageous thing.”

“So far one person by name Peter has been arrested by the Asasewa Police in connection with the death of Kamesuor, assisting the police,” he continued.

The body has since been conveyed to the Asasewa hospital morgue for autopsy for further investigation, according to the Assembly member.
