Judges, magistrates want salaries reviewed

The Association of Magistrates and Judges are calling on government to review their salary which has not been reviewed since 2014.
The President of the Magistrates and Judges Association, Justice Victor Ofoe in a press conference has described the situation as very frustrating which needs to be looked at urgently.
He said the international ranking of Ghana’s judiciary and the reputation accorded it has compelled the judges to accept the current Chief Justice’s position of not resorting to strike like some other African countries but it hurts all judges do same work yet those at the Superior Courts have had their salaries reviewed while those at the lower courts remain unattended to.
Justice Ofoe is appealing to the President who happens to be a lawyer to intervene to have their salaries reviewed expeditiously.
