School pupils donate to OTECFM FM’S “Yendidi” initiative
Pupils from Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Preparatory School at Ahinsan Estate in the Asokwa Municipal of the Ashanti Region have donated items worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis as part of their contribution in support of OTEC FM’s initiative dubbed “Yendidi”.
The items included bags of rice, Egg, Bottles of water, assorted drinks and many others.
Presenting the items to the Management of OTEC FM on Wednesday, 19th December, 2018 the Pupils aged 10, 8, 5 and 4 said the gesture is to ensure that Widows, Orphans, children in the streets, lunatics as well as the vulnerable.
“We are here to give our support to OTEC FM’s Yendidi project to put smile on the face of the Widows, Orphan and the Vulnerable in the Christmas festivities for them not to feel that their loves once are not alive. We want them to feel happy as we feel” one pupil said.
“I will passionate appeal to the Widows in particular to stand film and not give up; they should not live like hopeless people since there is hope for them as they are alive” another Pupil admonished.
In the spirit of the Christmas celebration, the Management of OTEC FM’s initiated a project dubbed ‘’Yendidi’’ aimed at raising funds for the purchase of food items exhibit their unflinching love and supports to those children in the streets, lunatics as well as the vulnerable.
On Tuesday December 26, 2017 the project distributed various gift items to more than 5000 streets children in the Kumasi metropolis and beyond.
Speaking to otec news’ Kwaku Anane Junior after the presentation, the pupils commended the Management of OTEC FM for the initiative and their commitment of giving back to society and helping the needy in society especially underprivileged children.
They are, therefore, called on other institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), benevolent people to follow what the Management of OTEC FM is embarking on to feed Widows, Orphans, children in the streets, lunatics as well as the vulnerable on Christmas celebration.
