Woman, 45, stones husband to death
A mentally challenged patient has stoned her 52-year-old husband to death at Koforidua Aboabo in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
Police reports say about 5pm on Thursday a report was made to their outfit.
On reaching the scene, they gathered that Rebecca Lamptey, 45, used a flat grinding stone to hit the head of her husband severally, harming him to death.
The deceased was found lying in a prone position in a pool of blood injured on the head with a completely deformed face.
The suspect has been arrested to aid investigations by the Eastern Regional Police Command.
Speaking to otecfmghana.com, the Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh said upon receipt of information about the incident, a team of investigators were dispatched to the scene and found the deceased lying in a pool of blood.
