A/R: Man lynched for attempted theft at Aputuogya

A suspected armed robber, believed to be in his late 30s has been burnt to death at Abuontem near Aputuogya in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region.
Information available to OTEC News indicated that the incident happened on Tuesday July 27,2021 around 10 p-m.
The deceased according to report was accompanied by two other accomplices attempted to steal from a house in the area but were seen by some residents who raised alarm.
“The angry mob after beating him black and blue thereafter placed a used tyre on the suspect in the middle of the road, and set him ablaze.
The residents watched as the suspect was roasted alive on the road.
Narrating the incident to OTEC NEWS KWAME AGYENIM BOATENG , an eyewitness said, “the suspect after the failed robbery operation tried to run but unfortunately for him, he didn’t know the area so he bumped into a pothole on the rough road and fell in the process, he was apprehended and lynched by residents in the area”.
Some residents in an interview explained that, armed robbers have been terrorising them in the area for the past years.
