Fire destroys parts of Makola market
Fire has destroyed some parts of the Makola market near the shopping complex in Accra.
The incident started in a cosmetic shop at the top floor of a three-strorey building.
The cause of the fire is not readily known.
No casualty has been recorded.
An eyewitness told OTECNEWS on Monday, 5 July 2021 that fire service personnel visited the scene but have been unable to quench the fire even though about seven fire engines were present.
