All NABCO trainees asked to remain at post pending permanent employment arrangement

The Management of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) has directed all its trainees who ended their services last month to return to post.
The arrangement is part of the exit preparations after the three-year training.
These were contained in a notice to all trainees after a high-level stakeholders meeting led by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare.
NABCO trainees contract with Government of Ghana ended in October, 2021, per their engagement letter as many were left wondering what is next for them.
In light of this, a statement available to Ghanatodayonline.com said the Nation Builders Corps has directed all trainees in line with their exit preparation after serving the country for 3years to remain at post as the management discuss plans for a permanent job.
“Following a high-level stakeholder meeting with the lead NABCO module implementation partners (MIPs) led by the Vice-President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia all NABCO trainees are to remain at post,” the statement said.
“In line with the exit preparation after your three(3) years on the scheme, all NABCO trainees will remain at post pending permanent arrangements,” the notice to trainees said.
“The NABCO Secretariat expects trainees to continue to discharge their duties diligently and professionally at their various workplaces whilst the scheme and the MIPs work towards a smooth final transition.
“A new cohort of NABCO trainees will be recruited next year.”
It continued “the NABCO Secretariat expects all trainees to continue to discharge their duties diligently and professionally at their various workplaces whilst the scheme and MIPs work towards a smooth final transition.”
